BISHOP MARVIN D. WILLIAMS
Bishop Marvin D. Williams, Sr. was born on July 9, 1934 in Rocky Point, North Carolina. During his childhood he had a constant reminder of his duty to God, love for his family, and responsibility to others that continue to be the prevailing focus of his life. Bishop Williams, along with his wife Mother Callie Louise Williams and their children by his side, founded Greater St. Stephen United Church of God in April of 1974. Mother Williams, ever since, has been the epitome of a “first lady”; consistently loving and caring for people. Bishop
Williams serves on various councils and alliances with the prospective to minister to the needs of the total man and reach out to the community at large. He is the Chief Executive Officer of St. Stephen Outreach, Incorporated, Board Member of the New York Correctional Facility, Member of the Urban Minister Alliance, and Mission Society Fellow. Bishop Marvin D. Williams’ life and influence has not only affected believers within the body of Christ, but countless men, women, and children throughout the city who benefit from the outreach social service programs established under his leadership.

His love for all humanity has inspired him to organize various ministries within the community such as St. Stephen Cadet Corp., St. Stephen Drama and Dance Ministries, Recording Artist: Youth On the Move Conference Choir, an Annual Anti-Drug & Violence Youth Fest, Tutoring and Job Readiness, HIV/Aids Education and Testing, and many other programs which uplift the man, spirit, soul and body.
Offering spiritually sound advice and guidance, as well as a history of producing and establishing some of the world’s greatest ministers, he is known throughout the church community as “one of the great fathers”. Bishop Williams looks forward to continuing the growth of both building ministries and God’s people. He is also excited about the impartation of wisdom, knowledge, and experience of building the Kingdom of God through the winning of souls. As he reaches the world, his plan is to accomplish this goal one soul and one man at a time.
